Mission Prayer Link 25 February:

We pass on our love and sympathy to May and the family on the passing into glory of Harry on Tuesday (23 February). Harry and May first went to Ecuador in 1969 to serve with HCJB. Since that time they were involved with HCJB in various parts of the world, as well as SOWERS International for a number of years. They were instrumental in Murray and Christine Suisted as well as John and Winsome Edwards being involved in this ministry. Please remember May and the family in your prayers at this time. The funeral for Harry will be held at Ingestre Street Bible Church in Wanganui this Saturday starting at 11.00am.

Jerry and Hayley, Zambia, ask for prayer as they start their first training course for Bright Hope partners this coming Monday. It is changing mind sets and also agricultural and small livestock training. Please pray that the partners will really get the concepts being taught and that they will not only listen but that they would go away and put into practice what they have learnt and pass that knowledge on to others.

Ian and Judith, India, write; At SAIACS, we have just been informed about a major new road planned to pass along one boundary. The city authority is empowered to take up a strip up to 16m wide. Thank God our main CEO Centre building is not threatened. Pray with us as we seek to mitigate the effect it will have on what we do. The new academic year is looming. Praise God for the 120 applicants we interviewed last week. We can accept about 50. Pray for God’s guidance in our selection meeting on 1 March.

Lynette, Kenya, would like prayer for the medical camp the clinic will be running on the 26th and 27th February. This is a great chance to promote the clinic to the community and use up drugs that are about to expire. Pray that these two days go really well and for the logistics of this venture too.

Glenys, Africa, asks that you continue to pray for peaceful elections. They have been delayed until the 3rd or 4th of March. So far things seem to be quiet and the people desire peace.

Richard and Nancye, Unites States of America, write; Next week, March 2nd, we fly to Colombia for five weeks of ministry and visits to family and friends. A schedule of meetings has been arranged for us in Bogata, Ibague, Armenia, Medellin and Bucaramanga. Please pray that this time will be of mutual blessing.

Chris and Sheri, Papua New Guinea, write; CBM is looking at ways that we can be involved with Prison ministries and religious education in schools. Please pray that suitable material for Bible study can be found, and the people who use it will grow in their knowledge of God.

Neil and Philomena, Thailand, ask for prayer as Philomena has been out ill with the flu, as are many in the school community.

Neil has just started a cold.

Please continue to pray for Neil’s M friend and his father, that they may not be chocked by thorns and the cares of this world.
