Mission Prayer Link 4 March

Murray and Ruth, United Kingdom, write; We are in the Middle East (26 February-12 March) as part of a team of five that is running two week-long retreats for local Christian workers who will come together from both sides of a war that has been, humanly speaking, irresolvable for many decades. In addition to teaching, they will both spend 3-4 hours with each participant individually to pray into some of the issues they face.
John and Winsome, Asia, ask for prayer for nationals they have worked alongside in Surkhet (Nepal). The local pastor is planting three daughter churches as a result of the Sowers International programmes. Please pray that these new congregations will have an impact on the communities around them.
Jason and Shirley, Philippines, write; Please pray for us as we continue to work on getting all the required materials completed for our translation check in May of Genesis. This is a massive job of 50 chapters requiring a Back-to-English translation and a number of pre-checks being done before our consultant begins the work of checking through it thoroughly.
Headspace has now moved to Hastings and started their work component. Please pray for the gappers in their new work environment that they would form good relationships with their co-workers.
Another major disaster this past weekend has displaced 2 million in Chile. We need to continue to pray for those affected by these earthquakes, including the people in Haiti. There are a number of Christian Brethren Assemblies in the effected areas of Chile. Please pray for these folk as they work out the most effective ways to help the communities around them and support those who have lost loved ones.
GC Aid will be receiving financial support for the Chilean earthquake. Please send your gifts to GCIM, cheques can be made out to GC Aid. For internet banking you may send it to….ask us for our Account details). Please make it clear in the reference section that it is for Chile. We do not take expenses for monies going through GC Aid.
Chris and Karyn, India, write; We have decided to leave Hebron School and India and return to New Zealand in December. Please pray as we consider what is next for us and for our three children, Mikaela (13), Samantha (12) and Alexander (10) as they will have adjust to being Kiwis again.
Richard and Nancye, Unites States of America, ask for continued prayer for their visit to Colombia and the ministry to the people down there. Please pray also for the Latino believers here in Los Angeles.
This weekend the GCiM Board is having its retreat at Lake Taupo. Please pray for the board members that the time together will be profitable.
