1 Peter 4 verse 10 speaks of “manifold grace” a secular Greek word meaning “many-coloured”. Whether you are enjoying the vibrant colours of autumn in the southern hemisphere or delighting in the cheerful shades of the spring flowers in the northern hemisphere, the diversity of colour speaks to us of the diversity of grace. Think about that as you pray for us this week.
Lord, Claudia needs grace as she travels back home on Monday, grace to overcome fear. Gerson her husband needs grace to face up to the consequences of wrong decisions in the area of finance, and grace to submit his lifestyle to Your leading.
Laura and Monica need grace to hand over their fears and trust You, the One who is worthy of their confidence.
For Anita and Kathleen, Lord I take the words of 1 Peter 4 7-11 and pray that they be clear minded and self controlled in all the complicated situations they face every day. I admit I don’t always understand their prayer requests, but You do, so I trust you to supply all their needs, physical, financial, emotional and most of all spiritual
I ask You that they love each other and all those who You bring into their lives, with your Love, the Love that covers a multitude of sins.
I ask that they gladly give hospitality to those who stay in their home while they receive spiritual help, like Claudia, or who have come for a particular reason like Hector Fabio who is staying with them this week while he works on the publishing of the book.
Lord, teach them to use the gifts You have given them, to serve others, and to faithfully administer Your grace in its various forms.
Anita has several speaking engagements; Lord may she speak as one speaking the very words of God.
Both she and Kathleen are serving others. They have a very full busy week ahead of them. Lord I ask that they are always conscious of Your strength and serve in the strength You promise to provide, never in their own strength. It is Jesus Christ in them who pleases You Father God, and I pray that their aim is that allows Him to work in and through them, so that You receive all the praise
To You my Heavenly Father, be the glory and the power for ever and ever
Amen.
