Silverstream Retreat

LifeSwitch resides within the grounds of Silverstream Christian Retreat at 3 Reynolds Bach Drive Silverstream, which is midway between Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt cities, and 25 minutes to downtown Wellington. The Retreat sits on a terrace overlooking the Hutt Valley and is surounded by native bush.

Silverstream Retreat was purchased by a local Christian businessman in 1990 and vested into a charitable trust. The name of the trust is Silverstream Park Christian Centre which is administered by Christian people who are committed to upholding the Christian faith and to supporting the wider Christian community.

The park has come a long way since the property was initially purchased and there is a strong commitment to upgrading the venue on an ongoing basis to provide conference and accommodation facilities for: Retreats, School Groups, Community Groups, Churches, Tour Groups, Sports Teams, Family Reunions, Youth Groups or individuals.

LifeSwitch has full-time use of a building known as “LifeSwitch Central” which houses the Church Director’s office, various Meeting Rooms, offices of other staff and a Lounge.

The Sunday programmes at LifeSwitch are held in the main Auditorium. The setting is elegant and appealing – an ideal environment to foster a connection with God.
